10 Years! Time sure does fly

On July 10th Diana celebrated 10 years of dedicated service to CenCom, our member agencies and the citizens we serve.

Today CenCom went live with Emergency Fire Dispatch Protocol. Another step toward serving the citizens better!

CenCom recognized 2 Dispatchers for their life saving efforts in April of this year

On April 10, 2023 Diana took a call for a person not breathing in Antioch. She provided CPR instructions until paramedics arrived on scene. They were able to resuscitate them with the Lucas Device as well as ventilations and defibrillation pads! Great work everyone!

On Saturday April 22 Nick provided CPR instructions to a Round Lake resident until paramedics arrived on scene. His effort, the cooperation of the caller, and the paramedics resulted in a saved life! Nick was recognized during training at the Fire Station

Last year CenCom recognized 2 Dispatchers for their life saving efforts.

On November 5, 2022 Siera took a call from a resident who was unable to wake his friend. She provided clear instructions for CPR until help arrived on scene. The patient was resuscitated and taken to the hospital.

On November 22, 2022 Jaime remained on the phone for over 12 minutes providing CPR instructions and encouraging the caller. His excellent customer service helped provide reassurance during the residents worst day.

This past week CenCom’s Executive Director Nichol Whitfield was recognized as the Director of the year at the IPSTA (Illinois Public Safety Telecommunications Annual) conference down in Springfield.
