How long have you been in public safety?

Sam has been a member of the CenCom team since May 2024!

What got you interested in Public Safety?

“When I was looking for a new career, I wanted to find something that did not just sustain me but fulfilled me. The more research I did into the industry, the more I felt like this was a perfect way to accomplish that goal utilizing skills I had developed throughout the course of my life.”

What do you do in your free time?

“My favorite hobby is reading. I also love playing board games, doing crosswords/puzzles of all kinds, and trying new coffee recipes.

What is your favorite band?

My Chemical Romance

What do you like about being a dispatcher?

“I love the sense of purpose this job gives me, as well as the fast-paced environment. I have always considered myself a life-long learner, and I feel that this job provides me with an opportunity to constantly learn and develop new skills.”

Congrats Emilee, you are an asset to the CenCom TEAM!

How long have you been in public safety?

Emilee has been in dispatch, at CenCom for 9 1/2 years and has been in and out of the public safety realm her entire working career.

What got you interested in Public Safety?

“My sister was my biggest inspiration into Public Safety and I found a calling for myself along the way.”

What do you do in your free time?

“I love to read, write and do photography as my hobbies, as well as spending as much time with my kids as I possibly can.”

What’s your favorite band?

“A Day to Remember from Ocala, Florida!”

What do you like about being a dispatcher?

“I like being able to help people, to problem solve, to be the person on the other end of the phone or radio that brings some form of calm and compassion.”

2024 2nd Quarter April – June

Congrats Ryan you make the CenCom Team Proud!

Ryan has been in public safety for 2.5 years here at CenCom. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, girlfriend, and friends. He also enjoys fishing and going to concerts.

What’s your favorite band? Zac Brown Band

What do you like about being a dispatcher? I like that each day we get to experience something new, while also keeping a sense of normalcy. I like to be able to help our callers and offer a set of ears to each of their emergencies.

10 Years! Where has the time gone?!

On June 3, 2024, Nick celebrated 10 years of dedicated service to CenCom, our member agencies and the citizens we serve.

You are appreciated, THANK YOU for all you do!

WOW! Tia is at it again, on June 12th she gave CPR instructions over the phone to the spouse of a patient who had gone into cardiac arrest. The Fire Department presented Tia with their Life Save Challenge Coin, what an honor!

 

CenCom recognized 2 Dispatchers for their life saving efforts in May of this year

On May 6th Ryan coached one of our residents through CPR until paramedics arrived on scene! Great job Ryan!

On May 25th Tia gave CPR instructions until crews arrived on scene and were able to continue efforts to revive the patient. Excellent work Tia!

Becca has been in Public safety for 9 years, 8 of which have been at CenCom.

What do you like to do in your free time? Spend time with family and friends, read and travel

What’s your favorite band? I don’t necessarily have a favorite band, but I’m a sucker for anything 90’s or current country.

What do you like about being a dispatcher? I like that I have the ability to make a difference. I enjoy the controlled chaos of it, the variety of calls, and the ability to help others on their worst day.

What piqued your interested in public safety? I truly wanted to help others. I respect and value law enforcement and the fire service and I just wanted to get involved somehow.
